Selecting binoculars for my ‘once in a lifetime moose hunt’ in British Columbia was something I didn’t take lightly. They had to be compact, lightweight, waterproof and perform flawlessly in extremely wet and well below freezing conditions.
After careful research I purchased Vixen Artes 8.5 x 45 with ED glass because they ticked all the boxes and are unbelievable value for money. Despite 2 weeks of being battered on horse back, drenched for days on end and caked in snow at -15º C, the Vixens performed flawlessly, proving they are at least equal to the other top brands available. If you are going on the hunt of a lifetime I recommend Vixen Artes binos without qualification.
