My father (70 years old) wants to have his last big hunt in 2004.
So we decided to go to Australia to hunt for Sambar, Rusa and Axis. My friend Ralf Kober had been in Australia a year before with Errol and he always told me, that there is no doubt: That's a great adventure and the hunt is very good.
So I contacted Errol per mail and a few weeks later we have planned the trip.
In July 2004 we stand at the airport Melbourne, Errol picked us up with his Nissan 4WD and we started to hunt in Watervalley.
The hunt was great. My father and me can hunt the species we want. There were plenty of deer.
In seven days we could hunt two sambar, two rusa, two Axis, two red stag und one fallow.
Errol is a good hunter, skinner, cooker, driver, .. and a very good friend. He is always looking for his guests!
I have been a few times for a hunt in Russia , in Africa, in Canada ., but I had never such a good guide.
After the hunt in Watervalley we went to a hunt in the free range. Looking for the Sambar.
It was a very exiting hunt in the snow, but without the hunters luck.
That has been a great experience and a great hunt. My father and me will always have this trip in a good memory.
