TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
In
June 2001 I took a fine sambar stag on the first day of a four
day hunt guided by Errol Mason of Sambar Shikars. I
was ecstatic!!! I had been on many previous unguided
hunts for sambar without sighting a stag, let alone bagging
one.
While luck always
plays some part in hunting, the high number of sambar and low
hunting pressure on the private property where I hunted, complemented
by Errol's knowledge of deer movements undoubtedly helped to
swing the cards in my favour.
Errol's hunting
strategies are quite different to anything I had tried before
but I firmly believe that he knows the way to successfully hunt
sambar.
Excellent food,
magnificent country and the very comfortable cabin with all
mod cons adds to the overall experience.
I have to say
that I have hunted in many countries around the world and with
many guides and this hunt was equal to the best of them.
