TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

RE: Sambar Shikars.

It is with great pleasure that I take the time and opportunity to recommend to others the wonderful experience I had hunting with Errol Mason and Sambar Shikars.

I feel confident in saying that I am a competent hunter, and qualify this comment by referring to Australia's more common game species such as goats, pigs and foxes etc. This is because I reside in Western Australia where deer are not amongst the available game species to hunt.

From the time I made contact with Errol to organise a Fallow Deer hunt, I was immediately impressed by his professional attitude and approach to satisfying the needs of his customer.

It was some months after the first contact, that I met Errol and we undertook the deer hunt in Victoria's high country. I felt completely at ease with his guiding style, his views on hunting ethics and most importantly, his knowledge of deer, their habits and their environment.

The result was an extremely enjoyable 3 days hunting where I was rewarded with a trophy Fallow buck as my first deer along with new skills and knowledge that all hunters strive to obtain.

Further testament to Errol's skill and professionalism came in the form of comments from the taxidermist to whom I delivered the cape and antlers for mounting. He gave the highest praise for the flawless workmanship and preparation of the cape, a factor so important to a hunter who wants to see his trophy (and memories) preserved in the best possible manner.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Errol and Sambar Shikars to any hunter, young or old, novice or seasoned, as the experience will benefit any person who has the desire to learn and to hunt ethically and successfully. In fact, and for a change, I will be taking my own advice and re-engaging Errol for another Shikar in the not to distant future.
