Volume 3 Reviews

I have just had the privilege of reviewing Errol Mason’s latest book Secrets of the Sambar Vol 3. This is a winner and a must for all sambar enthusiasts and deer orientated people. The depth of research and photographic information is outstanding. Superb photos of wild sambar and new and interesting facts not covered in the previous two books makes this volume easily Errol’s best.

Thankyou Errol, it is a masterpiece and I will treasure it and its two companions who have long awaited its arrival to make the set complete.It is a mighty accomplishment that few would be capable of.Now, you owe it to yourself to rest, and then when rest turns to restlessness - get yourself to India with a camera for Vol 4. a Sambar picture or photo book (where the pictures will speak a 1000 words instead of having to write it!)

I must say you have excelled yourself this time, after a quick thumb through it is obvious that the overall impact is captivating, the photos are bigger and better.

Received Vol.3 and am impressed. The Trilogy hasn't tapered off at all.
The results have shown that you can't rush perfection and the wait well
worthwhile. Hopefully in the back of your mind there is the germ of an idea
for a future effort--after a well earned break. Fingers crossed.

Hi Lynne,
I'm well aware that this book was a partnership as were the previous volumes.You have done an amazing job with the structure and outlay of the book as the pair of you should be damn proud of your accomplishments.I understand you do a lot behind the scenes and as the saying goes, behind every great man there's an even better woman.

Im reading through every chance I get and cursing myself for not re-reading the first two volumes first.I might go back and read them first and put this aside for awhile.

Just received my copy on Friday morning......just some feedback for you and Lynne, Errol, a fantastic effort, worth waiting for!!

The photographs a first class and the topics will be very informative....looking forward to the read every evening!!!

Nice tribute to Nick as well......he's sorely missed.

I have learnt an amazing amount regarding the mysterious Sambar from the first two books in the trilogy, and definitely helped speed up my knowledge and success on these majestic creatures.
