Binocular Tripod Adapter
The Vixen Apex Pro 8 x 42 and 10 x 50 are threaded to accept this featherweight yet extremely strong carbon reinforced plastic tripod adapter. This is an excellent accessory - especially when using the 10 x 50 - for when supported by a monopod or a tripod - hand shake is completely eliminated and the advantage of higher magnification is fully realised. Other than poor image quality - which is never an issue when using Vixens - hand shake is the prime reason why hunters fail to see detail such as antler tines, facial features, or the white fringe around an ear. Inability to see these features often results in failure to discover a bedded sambar. When binos are supported by a monopod or tripod, glassing is much less tiring. This is an important consideration when searching a large gully head for an extended period.
